Q2: Access to justice: Can I approach the local authorities to file a complaint?

Individuals have the right to claim their rights in Lebanon through the judicial system. If you have concerns/questions on how to approach the authorities, it is recommended that you contact one of the legal aid partners in your areas (See Annex in Protection section). Legal aid partners can provide advice on your case and have lawyers that may accompany you free of charge to file a complaint and follow up on the procedures with the competent authorities.

You should contact legal aid partners such as Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC), International Relief and Development (IRD), International Rescue Committee (IRC), Caritas Lebanon Migrants Centre (CLMC) in your area that may provide you with advice on land and property issues and on your case (See Annex in Protection section).
