Restart is providing specialized mental health services through its centre located in Beirut. In coordination with UNHCR and other partners, the project is implementing, among other activities, mental health and psycho-social services for refugees (adults and children), and vulnerable population.

Q2: Does the Restart Centre provide physical services?

The Restart Centre provides physical services including physiotherapy and neurological follow-up. The physiotherapy focuses on assessing and treating the main physical problems, especially those sustained by survivors of torture.

If the Neurologist or psychiatrist at Restart Centre recommends laboratory test, it will be fully covered. Psychotropic medication is provided as well.

A request sheet must be filled by you in order to assess your socio-economical situation. If you are found to be eligible you will benefit from support to transportation fees when attending the sessions.

If you are registered with UNHCR, you can approach Restart Centre. A social worker conducts the first interview by filling a social file in order to assess the needs. After that, you will be referred to the specialists.

The children multidisciplinary team is composed of a speech therapist, psycho-motor therapist, child psychiatrists, psychologists, neurologist, social worker, special educator, physiotherapist and an animator. While, the adults multidisciplinary team is composed of a neurologist, psychiatrist, psychologists and psychotherapists, social worker, physiotherapist and a nurse.
