Register in municipalities and/or UNHCR so that a house visits can be conducted for a needs assessment (see Annex in Sheltersection for the hotlines of the shelter organisations’ that are doing cash for rent).
Locations: NationalIf your family is supported by an organisation that covers part of or the full rent and signed a specific contract with your landlord you have to contact this organisation representative (see Annex in Sheltersection for the hotlines of the shelter organisations). Please note that only most in need families will be entitled to receive that type of support.
Locations: NationalEvery organisation provides different shelter support. Humanitarian organisations that provide “Cash for Rent” support also have limits to their capacity. You need to contact each organisation for more information.
Locations: NationalRefer to the humanitarian organisation that provided you this service. Distributions are based on organisations’ selection conditions, assessments, regions of coverage, and limited financial respources. If you are receiving benefits and your assistance gets terminated, the humanitarian organisations will inform you of the discontinuity. Sometimes rents are given in the following months; if the family didn’t get the cash for rent of February, they will get in March the payments of February and March.
Locations: NationalDiscuss this issue with the organisation providing the supplies.
Locations: NationalNot necessarily.
Locations: NationalWe are trying to understand your needs to be able to assist you in the best possible way and to refer your case to other sectors or humanitarian organisations in case you are in need of any other type of assistance. In general, a limited capacitiy signifies that only those found to be most in need will be prioritized.
Locations: NationalContact directly the organisation that provided the assistance/distribution.
Locations: NationalThe ownership of the supplies varies according to the organisations’ procedures and rules. Usually, the household items such as mattresses, blankets, filters will be owned by the family assisted. If the supplies are part of rehabilitation it will be granted to the owner only when it is used by the assisted family according to agreements reached.
Locations: NationalIf you are not able to pay your rent you can apply for support to UNHCR or humanitarian organisations that provide such support. They should be able to either support your family or advise you on different availabilities to protect your family and secure shelter. To such other options would be relocations to cheaper accommodation, Collective Centres or Informal Settlement.
Locations: NationalThere are different reasons why the organisation has to take such difficult decision. One of them may be that there is not enough money to be able to support all families in need. To receive the most accurate answer you should contact the organisation that supports your family.
Locations: NationalUnfortunately this is not possible. No assistance can be given without certifying the presence of the family, and without assessing their needs. But when she arrives she is can call the shelter hotlines.
Locations: NationalIn order to improve quality of assistance and to ensure your concerns are known and taken in to consideration, committees have been established where you live. The representatives from these committees are people who live with you in the same area. Report any cases of infrastructure maintenance to the respective committee that would liaise with the collective site management agency for necessary action.
