Important information to persons receiving assistance on the Red Card

To avoid multiple trips and long queues, only go to the ATM once you have received the upload SMS. Before that, your card will not have been credited with the monthly assistance.

The red card is a personal belonging linked to your file case number and to avoid misuse, loss, or theft, always keep it safe with you. Therefore:

• Do not give the Red Card to persons who are not registered on the same UNHCR file as yourself.
• Do not give your card to anyone collecting multiple cards as they may be easy targets for theft, or may accidentally lose your card. Also, be wary of strangers collecting cards, as they may have dishonest intentions.

Persons withdrawing on behalf of multiple families, spend more time using the ATM, resulting in longer queues and possibly tension with others waiting in line.
