Between December and February UNHCR and WFP received thousands of claims from families not receiving assistance. UNHCR and WFP analyzed the information of all these families but due to funding limitations only a limited number of families were reconsidered to receive assistance. Selected families will receive an SMS on May 20. Each year around August/September UNHCR and WFP look at the profiles and information of all Syrian refugee families provided by refugees at the UNHCR Reception Centres and decide which families will be eligible to receive the cash assistance. So, if any changes occurred to your situation in Lebanon, we encourage you to contact UNHCR and update your and your family’s personal information including: phone numbers, address in Lebanon, changes in your family composition including births, marriages, deaths or departures of any family members from Lebanon, medical situation, etc. If you have any questions, please call the call centre at 01-594250 between 8am and 5 pm.
