Important updates for refugees on coronavirus

In our collective efforts to prevent the spread of novel coronavirus (COVID-19), we recommend you to abide by the Lebanese Government and regional and local authorities instructions which urged all institutions and businesses to close, and all people in the country to avoid gatherings in public and private spaces and stay at home and only go outside if absolutely necessary. The security agencies have been instructed to enforce compliance with these measures, including by setting up additional checkpoints. It is very important that we all follow these instructions, to protect ourselves and others from contracting the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) and bring an end to this pandemic as soon as possible.
If you have symptoms like fever, cough, runny nose, sore throat, and/or breathing difficulties, please call immediately the Ministry of Public Health on 76-592699 for a first check and advice on what to do, including transport arrangements if needed. This is important, for your health and the health of your loved ones. UNHCR will fully cover costs of Coronavirus tests for refugees and any treatment needed. Stay safe at home.
