Humanitarian organziations have established centres and spaces where women and girls can gather and share experiences and stories, spend time with other women and girls and learn new things. In many areas, humanitarian organisations organize activities outside the centres (mobile). All women and girls, independently from their nationality can participate in the activities organized in these centres. To know where are the nearest activities please call the hotlines in your region (See annex A for Tripoli- B for Akkar-C for Bekaa-D for South in Sexual and Gender Based Violence section).
Locations: Tripoli & Surroundings, Akkar, South, Bekaa, BeirutThese spaces for women and girls offer a variety of services, including skills training and life skills activities, listening and counseling, group support and recreational activities. Depending on the needs expressed, personnel working in these centres can also put you in touch with other organisations providing medical and legal assistance, or other forms of more specialized assistance. All activities for women and girls are dealt with respecting the choices of each individual and with a non-discriminatory and non-judgmental attitude.

Depending on the organisation, there might be some differences in age limits for boys to be accepted in these centres. For example, in some the maximum age is 6 years old for boys, while in others it may be 12. No age limits for girls. Verify what the limits are by calling the hotlines for your region (See annex A for Tripoli- B for Akkar-C for Bekaa-D for South in Sexual and Gender Based Violence section).

None of the information they will share with them will be shared with others without agreement. Choices of women and girls will be always respected.

There are specialized organisations that can provide support to women and girls who have experienced violence. What you can do to help, is respect and not judge the person and be aware of the numbers of the specialized organisations in each area to be shared if approached by a survivor.
